NEW Fall 2023 : Trumpf 3040 10kW Fiber Laser
We are excited to announce the installation of a new Trumpf TruLaser 3040 Fiber Laser. Along with the latest cutting technology of the Fiber Laser, a TruStore Material Storage tower, a LiftMaster Compact, and a PartMaster conveyor are also installed to efficiently load sheet material and unload parts.
The 4 meter X 2 meter cutting area is able to load and process 72″ x 144″ material easily and efficiently. With the 10,000-Watt power source, the Trumpf 3040 Fiber Laser will be able to cut at higher speeds, while delivering high-quality edges, and be able to process thicker materials than our current equipment.
When analyzing the efficiencies in the cutting department, we were looking for technology to unload cut parts quicker and safer, while loading the next sheet of material quicker and safer. The Automation System, that has been installed, will allow for safer handling of material, while improving our cycle times, utilizing the time savings of the new 10kW Fiber Laser.
The TruStore 3000 Material Storage Tower allows for multiple material types and thicknesses to be loaded easily and efficiently, saving us time in the loading phase of a cutting cycle. The LiftMaster Compact automates the unloading of parts off of the laser bed and will move the cut parts to the PartMaster conveyor. The PartMaster allows for quicker sorting of parts, bringing the parts to our operators, who can then stack parts on the correct pallets or cages, saving us time in the unloading phase of a cutting cycle.
What does this mean for you, our valued customer?
With the 3040 Fiber Laser, customers can expect cleaner edge quality, even on thicker materials, saving time and money in the welding phase.
Our thickness capability is expanding, allowing thicker material to be cut, and decreasing the need to find alternative suppliers to cut these thicker parts.
The 3040 Fiber Laser is now able to cut Copper and Brass materials, expanding the material types that we can cut, and decreasing the need to find alternative suppliers to cut these material types.
The Automation System is designed to decrease manual handling of materials and parts, therefore increasing the amount of cutting that can occur each day. In turn, we are hoping this will decrease lead times, which will mean our customers will receive higher-quality parts in less amount of time.
